Decision: what to do?
At work, in your private life or in a relationship: you want to see what really matters to you and what options you have.
Orientation. Clarity. Decision.
When you’re stuck, can’t decide, your thoughts keep going round in the same loops or you no longer understand yourself, brooding won’t help. Sometimes friends help, the kind who listen and don’t rush in with “clever tips”.
And sometimes it makes sense to talk to someone who isn’t part of your world, who takes a neutral view of your situation and, in a professionally guided coaching conversation, helps you sort out your thoughts: clarifying what it’s really about, shifting perspective, discovering your strengths and your choices.
Personal and approachable (and on first-name terms). Clear and on equal footing.

Perhaps you’re facing a decision. Whether at work or in your private life. Perhaps you have a habit that bothers you, or a particular inner or outer conflict keeps coming back. Or there’s something you would simply like to understand better. Caught up in our own lives, we can’t see our blind spots. Coaching is a professionally guided change of perspective in a safe, discreet setting. We take a look together, without ready-made answers or rushing to judgement.
At work, in your private life or in a relationship: you want to see what really matters to you and what options you have.
Thoughts on a merry-go-round, doubts, inner conflicts. A view from outside can give you a new perspective. The right question can bring insight.
You want to recognise your own patterns, act more consciously, widen your room for manoeuvre and take a fresh look at your habits, even without a pressing reason.
How I work
Being showered with advice (usually unasked for, too) is annoying and rarely fits. What matters more is how a situation is put together from your point of view. Once you grasp how your problem or an issue came about, or what else it is (still) connected to, it is often only a small step to seeing what keeps you stuck in it and how that can change.
You don’t need to know straight away what the solution looks like. For a start, it already helps to understand what it’s actually (really) about, or where you might be sabotaging yourself.
I listen, I don’t judge you, I help you put what’s going on into order and I pay attention to patterns and connections. With targeted questions and new perspectives, we work out what lies beneath the surface. Beliefs, conditioning and automatic reactions shape our lives more than we realise.
Sometimes what’s needed is clarity (“using your head to live from the heart”), and sometimes it’s important to first get solid ground back under your feet, to know where you stand and what’s possible. Together we find out what makes sense right now. My role is to accompany you and offer fresh impulses, on equal footing.
WE HAVE A CHOICE
Accept. Change. Let go.
There is always a choice.
Much of life lies outside our influence
A skilfully guided conversation can untangle a jumble of thoughts, reveal connections, perspectives and options for action, make decisions easier, strengthen you or be the start of a journey. It’s not about telling anyone how to feel or think, but about reflecting on yourself and your beliefs, relationships or contexts. There is no standard solution for everyone, only your solution for you.
What I offer
A phone call is free of charge. Afterwards, you’ll have a feel for whether working together could be right for you.
Together we agree on what you’d like and what setting makes sense. After an exchange of emails or a phone call, you decide whether we arrange a session.
No conversation automatically has to lead to further sessions. Life is complex enough; let’s not make it complicated. → Email enquiry
We can talk in person (with me in Essen-Rüttenscheid or at a place of your choice), by phone, online via Zoom or outdoors on a walk together. Support via WhatsApp* is also possible.

KATRIN BRACKMANN · ABOUT ME

I like this quote because I’m interested in how models of the world and beliefs shape personal and social action, and how, with that in mind, people can perceive things more consciously, reflect on them and evaluate them sensibly.
The complexity and acceleration of the world we live in calls for resilience, self-awareness, clarity, and the ability to make decisions and shape things.
I am a coach, and also a visual artist and qualified designer, and I develop public art projects. In all of this, I love to explore and learn. What drives me is creating spaces for reflection, depth and inspiration in one way or another, and sparking respectful encounters, exchange and changes of perspective along the way. Through my art, in coaching or through project-based work.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND / TRAINING AND FURTHER EDUCATION
As a certified systemic Master Coach and NLP* Teaching Trainer (DVNLP), I bring solid experience in change processes, communication and personal development. My training and experience enable me to guide both individual and group processes.
My strengths include flexibility and a meta-perspective (the ability to see the bigger picture). When needed, I also address difficult issues: with empathy, on equal footing and occasionally with a touch of humour.

*) Trainer in coaching methods, including NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), a coaching and communication approach that works with patterns of perception, language and behaviour. It is also known as the “language of change” or the “art of HOW”. It covers principles of change, personal development, effective communication (inwardly with yourself and outwardly with others), learning and deliberately conditioning yourself for “success” (which, of course, means something different to everyone).
Coaching means supporting a person who, acting from an “adult self”, is able to make their own decisions. It is not therapy (although the methods do overlap in places).
The first step
… even the one to the moon (with a step out of the front door).
If you’d like to find out whether a conversation with me is the right step for you now and suits what’s on your mind, just get in touch, with no obligation.
Simply write me a few lines about your topic and when I can reach you by phone. I usually get back to you within 48 hours.
If it’s urgent, please say so.
When in doubt: just give it a go, it might turn out well.
Art · Culture · Project Development
From the initial enquiry through to implementation, I develop ideas, concepts, narratives and outline schedules for projects in the cultural and creative industries, such as artist exchanges, exhibitions and events. I clarify what a project should achieve, for whom, how best to get there and what added value it might also create.
I love designing projects like these, giving them a clear shape and creating project dossiers that convince in both content and visuals. I’m also happy to take care of delivery: project management, coordination, facilitation and press work.

*) “Trust the Process” (the title of this website): trusting the process does not mean believing everything or no longer questioning anything. It means listening to your own intuition and trusting that you are on your way. That opens up possibilities for change. Why? Because where we focus our attention determines what we perceive and what we do. What we pay attention to grows stronger and bigger.
